COVID-19 UPDATE – March 12, 2022

Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has announced that the masking requirements in its rule for Masking in Indoor Spaces (OAR 333-019-1025) will be no longer be in effect beginning March 12, 2022.

COVID-19 UPDATE – August 13, 2021

Effective Friday, August 13, 2021, masks will be required to be worn by all individuals regardless of vaccination status when entering the office of Heceta Water PUD. Please be respectful of our staff and other local businesses as we work to abide by the indoor face mask mandate. 

COVID-19 UPDATE – January 29, 2021

HWPUD lobby is now open to the public with changes to the ‘extreme risk’ guidelines effective today. Under the new guidelines, Oregon will allow up to 6 customers at a time inside businesses that are 500 square feet or larger. Thank you all for your patience as we navigate through this virus together and ensure the health and well-being of our staff, customers and community.

COVID-19 UPDATE – December 7, 2020

HWPUD is continuing to follow Governor Brown’s Covid-19 mandates.  Staff is wearing masks and washing hands often. The office is closed to the public until Lane County is no longer at Extreme Risk.  If you need to talk to Cindy, call her at 541-997-2446 or drive up to the office and honk your horn.  Following safe guidelines, we will get through this pandemic. As always, your water needs are our first priority.

COVID-19 UPDATE – November 16, 2020

Executive Order No. 20-56 orders a temporary freeze ordered by Governor Brown. HWPUD’s office will be closed to our customers from November 16 until December 7. Someone will be in the office answering the phone every day from 8 am to 4 pm.  An operator will be on call 24/7. Though we are physically distancing at this time, we are dedicated to your water needs.

COVID-19 UPDATE – April 1, 2020

To ensure the health and well-being of our staff, customers and community and in following the Government’s social distancing guidelines, our office will be closed to the public until April 30, 2020. Our staff will be available Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm by phone (541-997-2446) or by email.  We have just mailed the bills out. You can mail us a check or put it in the drop box in our parking lot.  Be sure to paperclip the small part of your bill to the check or write your customer number on the bottom of your check. We can take credit card/debit card payments over the phone. If you must pay with cash, please call the office to make payment arrangements. Thank you for your patience during this challenging time.

COVID-19 -March 23, 2020

Following the direction of Governor Brown, our office is currently closed to the general public until April 1, 2020.  We will still be answering the phone and responding to emails.
